The significant achievements of a healthcare provider Since the hospital’s inception in 1985, SJMC has made significant achievements as a trailblazer in many first medical milestones - conducting Malaysia’s first open-heart surgery, stem cell and paediatric liver transplants, adult and paediatric bone marrow transplants, and brain neurosurgery, just to name a few. In 2021, we continue to revolutionise medical boundaries by performing the country’s first total knee replacement on-day surgery where the patient could return home on the same day. In Malaysia, SJMC is also known as a pioneer in radiation oncology services and facilities. The hospital houses our own leading Cancer & Radiosurgery Centre (CRC) that is well equipped with the latest medical technologies for the detection, monitoring and treatment of cancer.
