/ Poker Penguin NFT Holders Gather in Singapore to Network and Exchange Ideas
SINGAPORE (21 November, 2022) — The holders of Poker Penguin NFT, which was the first NFT collection created at Elemint (https://elemintnft.com/), Tokenize Xchange’s NFT marketplace, gathered in Singapore on 19 November to network and exchange ideas.
The event, which was held at Simply Live by Tin Box, was attended by 300 Poker Penguin NFT holders. This was the 2 nd IRL (In Real Life) event held by the community. The first IRL event held for its NFT holders was at Metajam Asia in July 2022.
Saturday’s event demonstrated continued interest in NFTs in Singapore, despite the fallout from the FTX scandal. It also showed that Singapore continues to embrace digital asset innovation, as stated by the Singapore government last week.
Collin Seow, the creator of Poker Penguin NFT collection, announced that for the future roadmap, existing Poker Penguin NFT owners would enjoy exclusive perks and airdrops to their wallets. These perks include free Poker Cards NFT Airdrops in the next series, some of which can be used to redeem physical products in real life. Certain combinations of these cards also have real life benefits, such as opportunities to own Rolex watches, holiday trips and iPhones, etc.
Poker Penguins (https://opensea.io/collection/poker-penguin) are an Ethereum-based NFT collection with a set of 936 digital collectible penguins for minting. It was the first NFT collection minted on Elemint, Tokenize’s curated NFT marketplace, where collectors and creators meet to buy, sell, collect and trade unique, curated NFT collections. Working in a similar way to the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) community, Poker Penguin collectors are entitled to perks like coaching, access to an exclusive community and private yacht events.
Poker Penguin NFT holders have already redeemed and attended a 2-day NFT course. A Poker Penguin NFT minted at 300 USDC is now traded at 0.9 ETH(USD$1100) on OpenSea.
Collin Seow, who is also the Founder of CollinSeow.com, invests and trades stocks and indices. He started investing in blue chip NFTs in 2021, including MAYC (Mutant Ape Yacht Club), Azuki, Doodles, and Moonbirds. He wants to bridge people above 40 into web3 and NFT space.
The event also saw many engaging activities including games where NFT holders won prizes such as a Poker Penguin NFT, NTUC Fairprice vouchers, and a copy of Seow’s new book, the 2 nd edition of The Systematic Trader. Mr Hong Qi Yu, Founder and CEO of Tokenize Xchange, said: “The Poker Penguin NFT was the first foray into the NFT space undertaken by our proprietary NFT minting platform, Elemint. However, despite the ongoing fallout from the FTX saga, those in the NFT space continue to gather together to network and exchange ideas on NFTs and Web3, as demonstrated by today’s successful event. It is our hope that those over 40 will also be inducted into Web3 and NFTs by such activities.”
Collin Seow was equally bullish about the long-term prospects for NFTs. “We created the Poker Penguin NFT collections to be playful, fun yet desirable and exclusive. The high level of interest in yesterday’s IRL (In Real Life) event indicates that despite the volatility in the crypto world right now, the long-term outlook for NFTs still remains unwavering in the long term.”
Tokenize and Elemint’s strategic goal is to build a user community, which is in a strong position to educate and support NFT collectors in Singapore and around the world. Tokenize intends to be a world leader in this sphere.
