Villanueva is also the Executive Vice President and Chief Innovation and Inclusion Officer at the&nbsp;<a href="https://fintechnews.ph/tag/RCBC/" target="_blank">Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation (RCBC)</a>.

Among his contributions include&nbsp;<a href="https://fintechnews.ph/tag/Fintech-Alliance-PH/" target="_blank">Fintech Alliance.PH</a>’s recent initiative which is the&nbsp;<a href="https://fintechnews.ph/58576/security/fintech-alliance-ph-kicks-off-national-cybersecurity-education-campaign/" target="_blank">#WagMagpalokoMagingScamAlerto consumer education campaign</a>.

The industry-led nationwide campaign enabled a multi-stakeholder approach to promote education and awareness amongst Filipinos on how to protect themselves against scams and digital threats, and to bolster cyber resilience and consumer protection.

This recognition is a manifestation of the commitment and resilience that every industry player has invested to ensure that every Filipino consumer is enabled, engaged, and empowered to fight against cybercrime, cyber fraud, and any form of cyber attack that compromises their wealth, safety, and privacy.

Villanueva had also played a pivotal role in accelerating RCBC’s digital transformation by scaling life-enabling inclusive digital financial services especially for financially-excluded areas.

He spearheaded RCBC’s digital finance services such as the RCBC Digital, a one-stop-shop digital banking app; RCBC DiskarTech, a multi-lingual financial inclusion mobile app with Taglish-Cebuano languages; RCBC ATM Go, a mobile ATM network; and RCBC MoneyBela Barangayan Banking; a physical-digital blending banking experience initiative launched in rural communities.

The campaign with the aim to educate millions of smartphone and online users against phishing scams had kicked off on 29 May 2023 at Shangri La The Fort in Taguig City.

The industry-led multi stakeholder national consumer cybersecurity campaign is being led by the Fintech Alliance in partnership with the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), National Bureau of Investigation, Philippine National Police, Anti-Money Laundering Council, Securities and Exchange Commission, Insurance Commission, National Privacy Commission, National Telecommunications Commission, Department of Trade and Industry, telecommunications companies, consumer groups, and media groups.

The campaign was launched in response to the emergence of risks and threats to users’ safety and to ensure the sustained consumer trust on digital payments platforms.

It is by the Judge Business School of the University of Cambridge in Southeast Asia in partnership with the Mapua University in the Philippines.

The programme targets the development and training of regulators, legislators, policy makers, and practitioners and professionals in banking, fintech and digital industries.
