QIU STUDENTS FULFIL LIFELONG DREAM AFTER BEING SELECTED FOR PRESTIGIOUS AMERICAN STUDENT EXCHANGE PROGRAMME

IPOH, July 5—Quest International University (QIU) undergraduates Jasreena Rais and Joshua Chai are set to pack their bags for an exciting trip to the United States after they were selected for the prestigious Global UGRAD Exchange Programme. Bachelor of Psychology (Hons) student Jasreena and Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology(Honours) student Joshua will be heading to the US in January, fulfilling a lifelong dream after making it through a stringent selection process. Joshua will be heading to Utah Tech University, while Jasreena will make her way to the Centenary College of Louisiana. From a large field of applicants, only ten students were chosen from Malaysia. Two of them were from QIU, which is the only private university to make the list this year—another illustration of QIU’s quality education across a range of programmes. The UGRAD programme offers undergraduate students a chance to study in the United States for a semester at a U.S. college or university. The programme aims to promote understanding between the United States and other countries, with grantees engaging in community service and cultural enrichment activities. QIU Chief Operating Officer Nicholas Goh said: “We are extremely proud of our students’ achievements, as this is a rare opportunity for them to expand their horizons and gain new experiences. Their time in the US will give them the chance to pick up new skillsets that may be an advantage in their careers. They deserve this chance, and we are excited to help them achieve their dream.” Describing his emotions, Joshua said: “I am sincerely grateful for the invaluable assistance I have received from my dean, lecturers, programme coordinator, and the university as a whole. “Their unwavering support has played a pivotal role in enabling me to pursue my passion and fulfil my dreams. I am particularly excited about the upcoming exchange programme, an opportunity that would not have been possible without their guidance and encouragement. This is truly a dream come true, as it will undoubtedly broaden my horizons, and for that, I am immensely thankful to my university.” Jasreena added: “This has been an extraordinary accomplishment, one that I will cherish forever. Throughout this remarkable journey, QIU has stood by my side, providing unwavering support and guidance. This achievement is not solely the result of my individual efforts; it is a testament to the collective strength of the QIU community.
