/ Singapore’s Impress.ai raises funding to target SE Asia
According to VentureCap Insights, which tracks regulatory filings in the city-state, the company raised around $6.0 million U.S., but Impress has not confirmed this. Participants included Reapra and Javelin Startup Holdings and existing investor Seeds Capital.
Ahuja said that the platform had users in Singapore, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, the U.S. and the U.K.and that the funds would be used to increase the company’s footprint in Indonesia and other Southeast Asian markets.
“We are doubling down on Indonesia on the back of recent successes there and are expanding through partnerships in Southeast Asian markets,” he added.
Ahuja also asserted that the company had established product and reseller partnerships but declined to give further details.
Launched in 2017, Impress.ai helps businesses assess recruitment candidates. It describes itself as a no-code, self-service platform that simplifies recruitment workflows, using AI tools to screen candidates.
In 2021, the company raised $3.0 million in a pre-series A round led by Summit 29K.
