Strides for Mackenzie Health Presented by Lexus of Vaughan Returns for Another Year

Vaughan, Ontario - Strides for Mackenzie Health presented by Lexus of Vaughan is back and better than ever! This fundraising event for Mackenzie Health at Canada's Wonderland saw nearly 1,000 individuals participate last year, and organizers are expecting an even greater turnout this year.

On May 13, 2023, join us for a 5K run/walk through Canada’s largest amusement park before it opens. Every registered Strider will receive a free day admission to Canada's Wonderland after the event. Strides is a well-loved event since 2006 and has raised over $2 million for highest-priority needs at Mackenzie Health.

Co-Chair Seyfi Tomar and Joyce Frustaglio are aiming to raise $180,000.00 and attract over 1,000 attendees. Seyfi Tomar has stated that they are almost reaching their goal and is calling on Vaughan citizens and institutions to join this great fundraising event.

In addition to the run/walk, Turkish Style Shawarma Tomars Doner, located at 94b Lakeshore rd east Mississauga, and Mama Fatma Turkish Cuisine, located at 10385 Weston Rd Vaughan, will be giving fruits to all attendees. Longo's and many other businesses are also donating and sponsoring in many ways.

"As the population in our community continues to grow, so does our need to support the health and well-being of our patients and their families," said a Mackenzie Health representative.
