More than 80 locations across Australia will host a new mobile training initiative aimed at helping electricians keep pace with rapid changes in the energy landscape.

The national roadshow, delivered by global energy technology partner Schneider Electric and Clipsal by Schneider Electric, will bring hands-on training and the latest electrical innovations directly to contractors and electricians in 2026 through the return of the On the Go Learning Centre.

Launching in April 2026, the national tour will travel to metro and regional locations across the country, offering a flexible, drop-in experience that brings training, product demonstrations and technical expertise directly to where electricians work.

The next generation of the On the Go Learning Centre has been shaped by customer and partner insights, with a focus on practical skills, real-world applications and the technologies transforming the electrical industry.

Inside the mobile centre, attendees can explore innovations across electrification, automation and digital solutions, including EV charging, digital switchboards, smart home technologies and industrial equipment. The experience is designed to help professionals work more efficiently, reduce installation complexity and respond to growing demand for energy-efficient solutions.

Chris Kerr, Vice President and CEO of Clipsal by Schneider Electric, said the initiative reflects the changing needs of the electrical industry as it navigates new technologies and rising customer expectations.

“The pace of change across the electrical industry is accelerating, driven by electrification, digitisation and new energy demands. For contractors and electricians, staying current is essential to staying competitive.

“The On the Go Learning Centre makes that access to knowledge practical and immediate. We’re bringing the latest technologies, tools and expertise directly to where people work, so they can build skills, improve efficiency and deliver better outcomes for their customers.

“As an energy technology partner, our role is to support the industry end-to-end, not just with products, but with the capability needed to apply them in the real world.”

The mobile format is designed to improve access to training and support across Australia, ensuring both metropolitan and regional electricians can benefit from the same level of expertise and hands-on experience.

For regional participants, the tour provides access to technologies and specialist knowledge typically only available in major cities. For metro audiences, the drop-in format offers a convenient way to build skills without disrupting busy work schedules.

Across all locations, the focus remains on practical, hands-on learning that helps industry professionals strengthen their capabilities, keep pace with emerging technologies and trends, and grow their businesses.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to engage directly with technical specialists, gaining deeper insight into how new technologies can be applied across residential, commercial and industrial environments.

The 2026 tour forms part of a broader commitment to supporting the electrical industry through the energy transition, combining technology, expertise and on-the-ground engagement to build capability across the sector.

The On the Go Learning Centre tour will commence in April 2026.
